My main project at the moment is trying to do a piece of art with a heart somewhere in it each day. I started doing this for my boyfriend around Valentine's Day 2007. I have managed to do a piece a day, but they haven't all made it to my heArt-a-Day blog. Visit the blog and also my heArt-a-Day Squidoo lens to see more. My goal is to eventually reach 1000, and that was inspired by the Japanese story of 1000 cranes.

In February 2007 I was fortunate enough to get a new computer, a Wacom graphic tablet, and a copy of Photoshop CS2. Those three together changed my artistic world completely. Although I still enjoy working in colored pencils and making collages, Photoshop is unbeatable for easy access to colors and effects with different brush styles. And if I do something I don't like, I can just delete the layer! I was a purist who thought digital art was "cheating" for many years. Not any more. Same process, and I still have to learn how to use the tools the same as I do with paint and pencil. Finding Imagekind is the icing on the cake!!
